This is ALWAYS a sticky issue. But I applaud Wheaton College for standing by their doctrinal statement. And I applaud the professor for not bucking the system even when life takes a nasty turn. What is the point of having standards if you don't stand by them when it's time to apply them? I'm sorry he was found in this perdicament. but it's not the end of the world for him, the college, or his students. Like he said, he knew the rules and he's asking for no special treatment. This is where the rubber meets the road. I wish him well.
