Among all the weird scholarships out there, nothing exists to help kids who have worked against tremendous odds to get to college despite having a parent locked up in prison. And yes, besides the duck call and potato science ones, there are scholarships based on ethnicity or height or unusual ability. But for this large and largely unsupported population of children - zilch. "My grandmother and I were looking at scholarships and we realized that there was nothing out there for someone like me," she said.
